Heya, RG! Thank you for what you wrote. I agree that pushing ahead during dry times is essential. If I didn't do that I'd die in the metaphorical desert.

Even tho I'd lose the 10 lbs I've been wanting to lose... it still doesn't seem like a good plan.

Eve, I'm glad to have found your blog.

First, this post is brilliant. I love how you have woven the various quotations in and how transparent and honest you are. I think the discipline to push ahead in the dry times is very important. Often the inspiration comes as we just force ourselves to write (or draw or play, etc.) something.

Second, you suggested at my blog that I need a name. I see now that Renaissance Guy is a bit cumbersome. RG will work fine, I suppose.

Hi, Cliff. So true! Transition, that's true. It's like planting flower bulbs in the fall and waiting for them to bloom in the spring. What are they doing under the dark, frozen soil all those winter months?

Like that. Good point.

Sometimes when the muse is silent, it's a sign of a transition taking place, new ideas being shaped. It's a hard part of the creative process to endure and hard to have any perspective in the face of that accusative silence...
